Winterlove......

 

Winter love near the IJmuiden lighthouse

It was cold that evening, a thick layer of snow, not a little cold but -20 degrees with a strong, chilly wind.

Like every evening I go to the beach at the harbor area in IJmuiden near the Lighthouse to feed the stray cats, it was quiet, none of the animals showed themselves so I decided to call them by their name...  .....but nothing, no sound.......the lashing wind blew over your head and to make matters worse, it started snowing heavily again.

I decided to call them again but nothing happened...

I thought for once I would take a look in their sleeping cage, you usually don't do this to respect the animals' sense of security... I opened the hatch... and there was Gekko the cat lying brotherly close to a  fox to get through the cold of that night.........

Hij reed door de nacht, zijn vrouw had hem na veel jaren huwelijk verlaten zijn  naaste waren  overleden, zijn bekendheid was tanende.......hij stopte zijn  auto nabij het strand, de volle maan verlichte de zachte golven van de zee en de sterren vonkelden aan de hemel in de mooie zomer nacht,  hij legde zijn hoofd op het stuur, tranen biggelden over zijn wangen.........maar opeens daar stond  het ; hoog in de lucht : de naam van je meisje staat geschreven in de wolken........

He drove through the night, his wife had left him after many years of marriage, his loved ones had died, his fame was waning.......he stopped his car near the beach, the full moon illuminated the soft waves of the sea and  the stars were sparkling in the sky in the beautiful summer night, he laid his head on the steering wheel, tears streaming down his cheeks.........but suddenly there it was;  high in the sky: your girl's name is written in the clouds......
